Push-ups increase upper-body strength especially for the chect, front shoulders and triceps. Not to mention, it helps to tone the abdominals and pelvis.

Now, i found an example of push-up technique from the youtube that you could try.Keep in mind that push-ups repetitions should be performed in a rhythmic motion. For starters, you could aim for 6 to 8 reps. And soon you'll be able to extend your push-ups to 10 or 15 reps and so on.
